I would try using the search function on the forum, my guess is there will be some good info on here already.

I kept many breeding pairs of X immanis for many years. Juveniles too. I say this speicies are way harder to keep than say a B allbo or L parahybana. IME they are sensitive to cage design. Keep them on deep damp peat with a corkbark slab positioned in an angle from the sub, and let it rest against the side of the enclosure. This was the setup i had best success with! Lovely speicies!

Sub is your choice...there is no right sub for a particular species....coco fiber is fine for your, or any t... as is top soil, peat, jungle mix, eco earth and probably a few others are fine.

There are only a few ways to keep terrestrials....dry, partially damp, and completely damp. When small, keep damp, as juvies or adults, parts of the sub can dry out, but some areas should have moisture in the sub.

X. immanis so far with my time with my own two specimens have been easier than what most people make them to be. I keep mines a little like Theraphosa but a little less moist on the sub. Mines so far are very hardy and can tolerate a little dryness in the sub. If you kept any species that appreciates moist substrate, then this species shouldn't be too difficult. Mines are very active and are very hardy with no issues whatsoever. I don't know why people around said they're hard to care for, but I see them like most other T.'s that likes moist substrate.

Mine have been easy thus far. Keeping them like my pampho slings...water dish available, with moist coco fiber in 1/3 of the enclosure, and dry in the rest. They can choose where they want to hang out.

It was not that they was fragile, just had little more demanding set up request than most other rarantulas IMO! Andvi have had more than 10 specimens in total. Both adults and juveniles! Kinda strange, but IMO they where a bit tricky to house! Not to mention breeading! That was very hard!
