Ok, here we go again......
As anyone who keeps t's knows, there is always an opportunity to check on your critters only to notice one is missing. No sooner did I recover my 2 inch PZB sling, another critter goes out on the prowl.
Just a few minutes ago, I noticed one of the lids to the plastic shoebox my largest G. pulchra (about 4.5 in ls) lives in is loose and has been slightly moved to the side. I investigate only to find that she is AWOL. I look around a few places before deciding I probably won't find her until late tonight, so I start writing this post about my story.
Before I can finish typing, I get up one more time and look in a couple more places. VOILA! I found her by the empty aquarium right underneath a bright blue piece of clothing that's lying on the floor. (It had fallen out of the laundry basket).
I'm just SOOOOOO glad she resurfaced before we started digging through the garbage and all!!! I was afraid if she ended up in a garbage can (like the PZB, who was found in an empty garbage can), she might end up outside in the trash. Now I can get back to work washing the rest of the spider containers so we can get some more packing done. (We're planning to put our condo on the market soon so we can buy a HOUSE and get a dog!)
Every day is an adventure when it comes to spider keeping and spiders seem to enjoy escaping at some of the most inconvenient times!!
