That is perfectly normal.They are wuite aggressive and hate having anything messed with in thier home. I just bought one and she is hell on eight legs Nice threat display BTW, kind of a "hello mister, good morning!!!"

I was feeding mine once and it ran from its hide on the other side of the cage all the way across and up the side and tried to get me from where I was standing. Good thing I closed the cage fast or he would have gotten out.

they only do the threat posture when you anooys them, but other than that, their pretty laid back.
