I thought I had seen it all on reddit, and wow just wow. How are these people able to breath? What goes thru someones head when they decide to put an animal in an enclosure barely bigger than itself?? WTF

This upsets me, I doubt they even know what species they have. Can't really tell from the pic but I'd assume P imperator or some AFS. That's a fair bit of cash to drop on something just to abuse it to absolute hell and let it die. Who feeds ants to scorpions!? They are much too small and it looks like he tried feeding a whole colony of ants to the scorp, instant nope. I can hardly bear to look at that disaster. I can definitely see why many members get riled up when someone pops in with a silly question, although I do think there is a difference between starting out and negligence. This is just pure evil, I am on the brink of tears.

He said he fed it a mealworm, I'm guessing it didn't even eat the mealworm and the idiot left it in the box long enough that it attracted ants, which promptly found the scorpion. What an utter atrocity.

It takes a certain level of brainpower, or lack thereof. The ants were delighted, I'm sure. Maybe he should keep those, they'd be much harder to kill off via negligence.

And ideally, eventually, the ants eat the keeper to complete the circle! Haha

This is what people on reddit and facebook are like. It makes me mad sometimes when I see clowns poke Ts with something for a reaction or bother a T when its in a threat position and then moan about their T being ”aggressive” or put the headline as “some reaction WOW don’t mess with (whatever tarantula it is)”. They’re clowns and shouldn’t be allowed to keep Ts.

Lets take the tropics and the teeming masses of every imaginable ant. They will latch on to any animal including humans and try to do their natural recycling thing. Can't escape or find ant free locations, bye bye. With exoskeletal animals the formic acid destroys the connective tissues and in a few hours all that's left is pieces of chitin. Welcome to reality.

The ants got attracted by the dead mealworm I'm guessing.
It's really hard to tell what sets off the forager scout ants but when they lay down a scent trail it's a full scale mindless raiding assault.

I've battled little black ants this entire summer. I used to feel sorry for them but that is gone, if an ant is in my house space, its the same as a mosquito or cockroach, it dies. I do not feel sorry anymore. I leave the ants outside alone.

I hope they received proper feedback on how terrible and inadequate their enclosure is and that it is now prime ant season in much of the world. Must remove all feeder remains due to dangers of mites, mold, and ants.

I don't think they actually took the feedback seriously. They dont seem to speak english very well and their only reply to feedback was basically "U downvoting me but I am very sad and why this happen??" when people literally told them why it happened, they ignore it and keep saying stupid comments like "Im very sad".

Stupid, stupid, stupid.

You can tell that they think scorpions, or any invert for that matter, are bugs...truly a shame.

Ants are no joke, one needs look no further than the Argentine ant, which has a super colony extending from Asia to North America and every continent inbetween. Antarctica is the only safe haven.

Anyone know what ant species that even is? Swear it almost looks more like termites. Im guessing this happened somewhere in South America or Asia

Absolutely infuriating.

Probably going to catch flack for saying this, but I'm saying it...
The quality of the average Reddit user in every conceivable metric is abysmal. Nowhere in history has there been a more grotesquely inept conglomeration of room-temperatured IQ imbeciles that is yet UTTERLY CONVINCED of their cognitive superiority, & steadfast conviction to it, that they bring anyplace they curse with their visit, even individually, down by degrees in intelligence, or in spirit. Like the missed margins of a removed tumor, they metastasize their brain rot to the unsuspecting honest participant.
At least they give themselves away.

You can always tell a redditor...

...by their spacing...

LoL
