I had no idea I had weasles around my house (I live in north alabama.)
My mom found a dead one in our yard near my car. it looks like the cats or dog killed it and left it there (whoever said animals don't kill for sport never met mine as they tend to do it often)

I don't have a picture of it, but I found one that looks just like it online.

it really is a beautiful animal. I hope there are more.

I have noticed some strange holes dug in the woods near my house. but I think they are too big. I think they are possibly an armadillo (which is kinda new/cool too) I like those alot too.

Armadillos can carry leprosy, so don't go picking them up (even though not many do, and most people are naturally immune to it).

That's fascinating. I never knew that animals could carry a disease like leprosy. Macabre, but fascinating.

They are from the same family you can put muskrats in there as well.

Very cute. You need a badger now.

We actually have some wolverines within about a 2.5 hour drive here - in one park. I thought they were located only far up north...

Those are some pretty hardcorecool animals too.

::special childhood dream bubble pops::

I always wanted a pet armadillo... oh well. thanks for the warning. (I'd much rather not have an armadillo than be an outcast living in the city landfill due to leprosy hah)

Sheri, thats really cool about the wolverines. where do you live?
there's a rich farmer near me who has two zebras(and a new baby that I have yet to see) Also, he has a bison, it's pretty massive. I don't know what this guy does, but apparently he has alot of money. "Daddy daddy, I must have a zebra! no no, TWOOOOO zebras!!" haha

Er, I may be misunderstanding what you meant, but muskrats aren't in the same family as weasels and ferrets. Disregard this if I missed something.

When I heard this Weird Al song and saw the video* below for it, I thought of this thread, and could not resist digging this thread up!

I'm guessing Weird Al has been placed on PETA's hit list.

*Note: The views in the above video are soley the views of it's authors. Arachnoboards does not in any way encourage or condone the stomping of weasels or any other members of the mustilidae family.
No weasels were harmed in the posting of this video and an inspector from the American Humane Society was somewhere in the general vicinity, we think.
