Hi All,
Recent studies of a creature known as Nyasasaurus parringtoni indicate that dinosaurs may have appeared over 240 million years ago – 10-15 million years earlier than was previously believed. Its fossils, unearthed in Tanzania, also shed light on where dinosaurs first arose and how they spread to new environments. I’ve also summarized some other recent paleontological surprises concerning the oldest dinosaur nest, dinosaur flea, bird, and organic molecule. Read more here http://bit.ly/YyNKU0

Thanks, Frank

Good to hear..let me know if you need any advice in future..maybe you can avoid some of the career mistakes I've made (but it's been a great ride, go for it)!

What do you mean by career mistakes if I may ask?

I tried to keep animals as a hobby, fist became a lawyer..actually was necessary as had lots of responsibilities at early age; but biology was a true passion, and it wasn't possible to put it off. Once in zoo field I liked the animal keeping aspect so much that I stayed put - which is ok on some levels - but I missed out on many ops by not moving up; I diod go for a masters in zoology, but a pHD would have been preferable. But lots of excitement none the less; click on "authors" at top of any blog article, there's a bit more there, best, Frank

It really is the way to go..once there, you can do fieldwork, all the hands-on you want, and if you study a topic that interests you, the process should be enjoyable; you have alot to look forward to, enjoy, frank

That I do! Haha. I'm already in contact with some of my professors, and am hopeful about getting a study under one of them early on, as well as an intern over the summer. I'm planning to major more specifically in wildlife biology just so I could do field research! Haha.
