I know that for tarantulas, lots of people have “ladders,” e.g., Psalmopoeus and Tapis before Pokies and Ephebopus/other quicker fossorials before African fossorials and then Asian fossorials. Is there anything like that ladder that might help me work up to a huntsman? I have a Linothele sericata, a Macrothele calpeiana, Pokies, and some African and Asian fossorials right now.

As long as none of your spiders really scare you and you are comfortable feeding and rehousing them, I don’t think a huntsman is anything you need to work up toward. They can be fast but as long as you aren’t leaving the enclosure open too long while feeding and don’t rehouse it in a cluttered area. You should be alright :)

Cupiennius is a good choice.
But speedwise they should be slightly above linothele sp.

If you don't play around, they are easy to care.

Be calm, steady and there is no major issue.
