I was doing backyard maintenance today and replacing bird water when I turned over a ground dish and saw a large woodlouse spider, seemingly a female. Very pretty spiders actually. I carroued her into my fist and somehow she never bit me, while I refilled the water dish, then I let her go again to make her way back underneath it.

Very cool spiders, they almost look like mygalos because their jaws are so big.

I am not a fan of these.

everytime i have encoutered them, it was when they were being bothered, and their speed was just not was I was prepared for.

i prefer not to see these. Perhaps its the color, or their posture, but i do not like them.

They are faster than you'd expect.

I’ve seen them pretty often, large fangs hunts ispods and other bugs. I’d catch them in the same habitat. And release them later on because I didn’t have suitable prey items. last I caught looked male. I can’t imagine being bitten being fun…
