They mated for about an hour. It was a success, although it looked rather nasty. I have a video of them mating, but forgot to upload it.

This was 5 days ago. I saw the female yesterday and she is very swollen up. How long does it take for them to lay eggs? I've been reading the book "Bearded Dragons" by Barron's, but I havent read how long it takes.

I know you feed the female more, plus more calcium and wait for her to dig. Once she starts, I'm going to place her into a bucket of moist sand for a couple days. I'll make finger holes in the sand to know if she has dug or not.

Anything else I should know?

They lay about 5 weeks after mating. at about three weeks you need to add the laying box to her enclosure and be sure to give her plenty of calcium for the next few weeks.

Bone aid is a good way to give her extra calcium. Just a drop or two on her feeders.

that female has a beautiful colour morph. it looks like someone has spilled red paint on her.

Congrats on the mating and good luck. Also, you're right, mating can be somewhat violent for beardies.
