Okay, since George (my sister's hamster) has grown a lot, I figured I'd get him a bigger cage. The price is not really an issue. I just was waning to know what kind of cage is best for a long hair hamster. (wire, plastic, etc.) comments are appreciated! {D

I am partial to the wire cages, lots of ventilation and I don't think they break as easily as the plastic ones do. They are a bit easier to clean too.
Those plastic hamster balls are nice for exercise and if its an agressive critter it may be easier to tame if he has regular jaunts outside his cage.

i hated the sound of them playing with/chewing the bars of the wire cages.
