I have a little spider that decided to take residense in my scorp tank. She laid an egg sack in my tank, now one spider in my tank is fine but I didn't really want a few hundred. So I used tweezers and removed it. Since then she has laid two more, both of which I removed. How many egg sacks can one female lay before she is done? I remove one, two days later she has replaced it. How long will this go on? :wall:

instead of removing the egg sacs, try removing the spider.... seems it would be easier and all.

depending on species of spider, between 1 and maybe 20.

I and other ppl have had tenth egg sacs from widow spiders produce at least 1 living spider. And the spider kept making non-viable egg sacs long after that! i think my personal observation record is somewhere around 15 for a black widow.

and i would reckon there are spiders out there than are more like, fecund, than the black widow from CA.

i would suggest removing the spider also. You might not consider it a threat, but there is a very real chance that it could actually kill a scorpion. Some spiders have venom that is rediculously toxic to other invertebrates.
