Will feeding roaches reptile vitamin powder do any harm?

My dubia roach colony devours the ground food I feed and since I am going to have to make a new batch soon I was wondering if adding a product such as Repti-Vite or such to the food would hurt the roaches at all, obviously the frogs and lizards eat the powder...what do you think?

Since we offer apples/oranges and other fruits to give them vitamins, wouldn't doing this eliminate the need to do so? Also the bonus of having healthier roaches which would hopefully lead to more breeding and even healthier feeders for my 2 horned frogs and my 6 tarantulas.

Thanks!

I wouldn't recommend it. Roaches have symbiotes that produce vitamins, so they basically already have a lot of vitamins stored within their bodies. We feed them apples and oranges to keep them hydrated and offer minerals, carbohydrates, and other goodies--not just vitamins alone. Even for humans, vitamins are only meant to be supplements, not food replacements. And with supplementation, moderation is key. I think there is such a thing as too much, especially since cat food, dog food, and fish food are already loaded with a ton of vitamins. Remember, vitamins A, D, E, and K are fat soluble, which means they CAN build up to toxic levels.

Just add a pinch to the mixture, they don't need much as they can synthesize alot of stuff themselves.
