Will African dwarf frogs find food in their tank?

Hey I have 2 African dwarf frogs in a 5.5 gallon tank with 2 snails. I usually feed them baby dubia roaches, I have to mash them up and break them up (the frogs like it tiny). I sometimes give them tiny fish pellets. When I give them fish pellets, they only acknowledge the ones that are sinking, not the ones on the bottom, so I usually have to put a lot in just for them to get one or two. Can I just sprinkle a fair amount into the tank every few days? will they scavange around and pick up whats on the floor? Or do they need to eat it as it comes to them? Any help is appreciated.:)

It helps to have keep dropping the food onto a certain spot. I did this with a couple of dwarfs that I had, and they learned to associate that spot with finding food.

Ahh, interesting. Thanks for the tip! I'll try that from now on.

I see a lot of people feeding their frogs blood worms and it works out well despite them sinking.
