Will adult Asian forest scorpions eat pre killed food?

My adult asf Scorpion has started sitting at the end of her burrow more at night after adding a heat lamp. I offered her food and put my tongs down her burrow and she fought them hard but eventually took the medium dubia roach. I tossed another down there for good measure and that was that. My question is if I don’t feel her fight or take the first dubia, can I pre-kill one and leave it at the entrance or will adults mainly eat live food only?

Are you keeping the heat lamp on all night? Also there is no need to pre kill prey for an adult. Scorpion’s eat when they want to eat. Sometimes going a Month or so without eating. Pretty much all of my Heterometrous sp. never eat in front of me, instead I check in the morning if they ate their prey, if not I remove the prey and try again next week. You don’t want to keep throwing roaches down it’s burrow because that’s just going to stress it out.

Thanks for the info! I’ll just dump the roach at the entrance and see what happens after the next morning. How often do you feed your scorp by the way?

I pretty much don’t have a schedule. I used to. But scorpions all eat so irregularly so I just started feeding them either when I remember or at try to feed every 10 days or so.
