So I've had my girl Valkyrie (a natural accidental breeding of a black widow and brown widow) for a few months now. She's an absolute monster, but as sweet as can be. She's molted for me twice but I've never seen her in premolt or in the act of molting. I was just wondering what it looks like for them?? Below are pics of her current situation 20241111_145339_mfnr.jpg 20241111_145351.jpg

I can't speak for how it looks for the crossbreed you claim to have as I don't have experience with those; however, when it comes to the black widow I usually see mine take some small changes in appearance (ex. slightly more pale) and they begin rejecting food some time prior. If you look at some older threads you may be able to get some more information.

I didn’t know they could cross breed.? Pretty close to molting I bet , plump enough to go ages without feeding.

I'm not sure if its even biologically possible for those two to crossbreed. Does anyone know if this has happened before??
