Why does it do this?

My 3" P Cambridgei has been carrying substrate (coco fiber) up from the bottom of the cage and weaving it in its web. Literally the whole web is covered in substrate. I was just wondering if anybody else's T does this? Or does anybody have any guesses why it is doing that?

It's normal. My P miranda did the same thing. I always assumed all that extra decorating was to make the t feel better hidden could be wrong.

All my OW-style arboreals do this (for pics, see this post of mine from an earlier thread on arboreals). It's their way of putting up curtains for privacy, LOL.

Thanks! I didn't think anything was wrong with it. Just curious if it was common. Appreciate the responses!

As everyone else has said, it is perfectly normal. They are usually called dirt curtains! :D

One of my P. cambridgei slings does it, my P. pulcher and T. gigas do it a lot... but one of my male OBTs has gone crazy with it!

It's interesting to watch them do it, I think
