they die after a few months from lack of water or unable to make that final molt into a beetle is my best guess i have that issue also only solution is buy more ts or feed em off faster or just go pan fishing they do make great bait

They die after a while if they don’t turn into a beetle. It could be not enough food or too much moisture or humidity.

Morioworms are extremely hardy. Keep them dry and feed fresh fruit/veg/dog biscuits.

The standard hobby setup that seems to have provided the best results for rearing these is a few inches of oat bedding (yes, oats), supplemented by select fruits and veggies. You can also throw some cardboard in to put the food on top of, preventing mold. As ridiculous as it sounds, it works.
Housing the adults, well, that's a different matter.

I kept mine on a mix of coco fiber and oats with cardboard egg crates on top. It sounds weird but they were pupating in the tank with others. I got a ton of beetles but never got babies. I think I got some babies but I started putting in other feeders that I didn’t have space for and now I only have one larvae and one adult. I want to start breeding them again but mealworms are so much easier.
