Lovely snakes Kathy. There are a couple of people on the boards who keep chondros. I'm sure Gil will pop in with some pics of his snakes.
I started with chondros before I did with spiders. My male chondro was the first snake I'd ever owned.
You can find pics of my pair here <<click me>>

I was feeding my female last night and realised how much I need a pair of short tongs. 12" forceps aren't cutting it anymore. She's a damn heat seeking missile at night :)

Ahhhhhhh chondros. Sweet! I like the white speckling on that first one...along with all that beautiful yellow. Pretty snake. This is a picture of one of my yearlings. This one is insane!

I have been at it about 3 years now ... I have 7 chondros, and another one arriving tomorrow Here's a couple more pics, of the RC baby and my mite-phase girl ...

Her pics are in the first pages of the thread. Here she is. She's an OS Aruxhigh yellow. These snakes are a lot of fun. Especially my male who I must convince rats are food everytime I feed him :) I was up until 1:30am on Friday getting him to feed. I still love him though and man does it feel great when he does eat.

Beautiful snakes everyone.

Gil,
Were you and your little chondro out playing softball, lol.

Nice snakes Sssnakemom, Incubu, and Mike! One of the things I love most about chondros is the great variety of colors and patterns. :)

Mike,

I was trying to play softball, but that little guy only wants to play hardball. He's a biter! Heheh. I thought the bat as a perch would make an interesting shot. I took a tour through the Louisville Slugger Museium factory a few weeks back. At the end of the tour they give you a souvenir mini bat. The snake is on that bat in the photo.

Tempermant varies with each individual. You will also find that some "localities" are a bit more calm than others. If you are looking for something to handle regularly then I would not get an arboreal.

Chondros are fairly easy to keep if they are set up properly. Captive bred animals are your best bet.

Do you have any specific questions about chondros?
