whoa!!! Something STRANGE

is happening in my lobster roach bin.
I have 1 male hisser living with a few hundred lobsters. I found THIS tonight...it's no lobster obviously...
Looks like a juvie hisser...how can this be?
It's the only one in there, up till now, it looked like a juvie lobster, but just a fat one.
They can't cross breed can they?
This is just the weirdest!

Holley...these are roaches...they will survive a nuclear explosion! It wouldn't shock me if indeed that was a hybrid. I would definitely keep it!

You could have had a nymph in there that looked like all your other lobsters that recently molted.

I don't think they can crossbreed. God I hope I'm not wrong. That's all we need. But anyway, after having had both hissers and lobsters I've noticed that the nymphs of both species are similar in appearance. The hissers are just a lot bigger. I'm gonna have to agree with scorpio and say there was a hisser nymph in with the lobsters.

yes, that's the only explantion that makes sense. When they are small, I doubt I would have noticed it. It was only with the last molt that it was clearly NOT a lobster! I can't imagine the lone male impregnating a lobster female!
