Which one of these will be best to use as feeders for my tarantulas and scorpions; Blaberus craniifer, Blaberus giganteus, Elliptorhina chopardi and Opisthoplatia orientalis. I live in the UK.

Cheers

I've got some laterallis aka Sherfordella tartara, and they seem very promising.

I've heard they can become pests in certain parts of the world, thus far I haven't confirmed if we are one of these parts but I'm planning on a little experiment. Based on what I've read, they don't pose any threat to us, but I want to be sure.

You can get some from virginiacheesman.co.uk. Keep them hot and very well fed and they'll grow fast and within a few months you should start getting some babies. The adults are nigh the same size as adult crickets, they re-produce fast once they get going and they are rather pleasently clean, and quite.

Have a search on these boards and you should be able to find some info.

From your list I'd say Opisthoplatia orientalis. Apparently they have a shorter life cycle than Blaptica dubia hence will multiply faster. Since you are feeding them to your T's and scorps the little-harder-than-dubia exoskeleton wouldn't be a problem.

Opisthoplatia orientalis is ur bet
last year i inspired a friend in Taiwan to start a feeder roach biz base mianly on Opisthoplatia orientalis, and they do breede faster than Dubia and similar in size

however
B.lateralis don't burrow into substrate, but dubia and o_Orientalis do
good luck!
