Im new here! My name is Kevin and Im from New Mexico.
I used do hate Spiders, but three weeks ago I found a Tarantula in the desert, and I thought what may happen when I pick it up.... so I did. Maybe that was stupid but it was an experience!

I have another question: what kind of t would you guys recomment to a spider noob??

My first T was a wild caught male, just like you caught.
It only lived for about 4 months, but it was enough to get me hooked.
Did you keep him or let it go?

An Aphonopelma sp. like you found would be a great starter T. IMO

I let him go because it was on the first stop of my last vacation.
But if I would find one in my area I´ll keep it.
well I´m wondering what my girlfriend will say.....
what kinds do u have now?? I like the pink toes they look nice.
didnt know that there are so many different kinds of t´s!!
