Metallica stay smaller. Maybe 6in as an adult female. The other 2 can hit 8+" as adult females. Some people way 9-10" i think. I find metallica to be very well mannered and more chill. I'd suggest them first.

The ornata and rufilata are gorgeous though. Really nice greens on both and some purple on ornata, reds on rufilatas.

I'd suggest all 3 for sure but to start I'd say metallica is the best of the 3 imo

What's your preference? I find P. ornata and P. rufilata to be large and IMO, they are the largest arboreal T.'s in the hobby in terms of leg span. I think the P. metallica will be easier to deal with than the P. ornata and P. rufilata, since they won't be as large and as intimidating for an OW arboreal species. But it's really up to you and your overall experience level.

Are you planning on getting all pokies or just they 3?

In my experience Regalis has been the easiest going. They get big and look gorgeous too.

All of those are great T's. My 1st pokie was a P met and she would be the last T in my collection if I was given no choice. The colors are beautiful in both male and female and they arent difficult to manage.

Be careful with Rufilata. They get very large. But, mine has been a saint and very well behaved. You get use to the size and dealing with them, but just rate your comfort level. That will come with time regardless, but they are a BIG spider lol

Striata is my favorite 😍 but I won’t be getting anymore as the prices shot up and I’d have to buy new very expensive enclosures for them. Plus I kept having them get loose during feeding. Or cages weren’t locked well enough. Enjoy 😉

Looks affect people differently.

i do know blue is a very popular choice when people are “shopping”.

i like earth colors and orange.

i saw a p miranda sling. I fell in love. But then i realized it would get more colorfull. So i passed.

for color, i will get a c versicolor. When i have enough money.

P. ornata is probably the toughest of the three and usually the most food driven

check out @basin79 and his videos on YT if you can't decide

Pokies are wonderful, absolutely gorgeous colors and watching them grow is very rewarding. Instead of one of these three, though, I’d recommend getting a Regalis. The P. Regalis was my first pokie, and they’re honestly very chill and a good one to start with before you jump to the more feisty members of their genus, which is the P. Ornata. That one was my second and Rhaenyra is a demon with constant zoomies.
