Ive been keeping oriental firebellied toads for a while now and while I love, those little guys (named Ping and Pong) they arent exactly the most interesting critters. Ive had a couple a few years back so I just wanted something to sorta get me back into the hobby. But now Im hungerin' for a bit more of a challenge. So this is for all the herp/amphibian people out there, what would be a good intermediate species? Nothing TOO challenging, but with a fairly moderate ease of care level. Ok thanks everyone.

I recommend Waxy Monkey Frogs Phyllomedusa sauvagii. They're a very animated frog. They like the heat! The ones I used to have would sit under a 75W heat spot lamp. They're not at all hoppers, but walk around on horizontal perches. Do a search and read up on them. Watching them eat is fun. When a prey item walks in front of them, they'll leap out and snatch it with the stick tongue, but then will shove it in with both hands.
