Which came first, the chicken or the...gecko?

it may be real, but i doubt that its a common occurance... if it were, it would be found more often, and butchers would also find them when butchering the chickens for meat... and I don't think a chicken would be very happy about something crawling up there...

That doesn't seem to realistic. If geckos do that regularly it wouldn't be a "world first". Also chickens get salmonella in places where there are no geckos roaming around. They may have found a gecko in an egg but I don't think it's a good explaination of where salmonella comes from.

i would have to say my take on this.... is that the salmonella bacteria enters the same way they think the gecko did, rather than the gecko being the "cause" of salmonella
