Does anyone know where I can get a UTH? I'm trying to avoid shipping any way I can XP

The local pet store only has one for 50-60 gallon tanks. I just need a 10-20 gallon heater.

Try big apple herp. I get most my supplies from them. If not them, then I use LLL Reptile.

How come you don't want it shipped? I got all of my UTH shipped to me, all came perfectly okay, relatively fast, and almost twice as cheaper than those sold in the petstore.

Cause for some reason, I tend to have bad luck with deliveries. I don't know weither its something odd about my address or if the one who deliver are lazy. I've ordered tarantulas and most of them I had to go to the post office to pick up the package because of "failed delivery attempts" (which was false cause I would sit either at the window or out from 8 am to 4pm waiting). Then I nearly didn't get my snake, and that I nearly had to chase down the delivery truck to ask if they had anything for __insert name and address here__. Those were using completly different delivery services (USPS for the tarantulas and FedEx for the snake).

What you can do is tell the shipper to ship it to a friend's address whom doesn't share the kind of problem you do.

I get them off of friends and stuff, if you're interested I can hook you up for a $10 fee (joking...)

But yeah I'll hook ya up. I got my 50-60 zoo med for like $25 shipped while in the store its like $50???

Oh and lets not even touch cobra heat mats.....ridiculous....I'll try to never buy stuff from petstores unless the price is almost the same...

I got my aquarium filter for $10 shipped while in the petstore they were trying to sell it to me for $55...complete ripoff....

Sneaky little bastards even said this over the phone...here's my conversation:

"Yeah I'm wonder if you carry aqua clear aquarium filters for like a 50-60 gallon tank?"

"Hold up" (Comes back 5 mins later) "Yes we do"

"How much are they?"

"Sorry but you'll have to come here and check it out yourself"

"Um, I live a few miles away, and why do that when I can ask you over the phone? I mean, thats what the phone is for right?"

"Yeah....but many people ask us the price and end up buying it over the internet or something so you'll have to come down here...it should be a fast drive..hope to see you here soon!"

So far, after looking around, I found someone selling a 10-20 gallon UTH for 17.99 (free shipping--holiday reasons). If I don't find a better price/offer, I think I'll purchase it tomorrow.

You know this goes the same for text books at school. Why the heck would the on campus bookstore over charge you for books and then have the school give you financial aid? WTF? Maybe if the books weren't so overly priced I wouldn't need financial aid!!!! :wall:

I bought a book for $120 bucks...went home and found out that over the internet they had an international exact duplicate copy for $20 SHIPPED!

Later on after the semester ends I try to sell my book back to them...and the lady is like, we'll give you $15 for your book. I'm like "WTF I PAID $120 FOR THIS! THATS LIKE 8X MORE!" and she's like, yeah......but there's a new edition out.

I grabbed my book and said "I RATHER KEEP THIS SH*T AND USE IT AS FUEL TO HEAT MY HOME!"
