where can i buy mice/rat lab chow/block?

Hi,
I am getting a few more hogs and scarlet kings and i want to breed mice as feeders.

can anyone tell me where i can buy lab block for mice/rat?

Any feed store should have it.
I get 30lb bags of the Mazuri for like $20 at mine, and they sell it in bulk bins for even cheaper.

Or, in a pinch, any petco/smart should have smaller bags on the shelves . . .

Is that scarlet eating good for you?

o yea, sorry i forgot to give you guys an update on the Scarlet. I have been a little busy with lot of things lately and haven't been very active on the board.

she eats like a pig, but i am cutting down to twice a week (with small pinkies). that's still a lot, i know. but i am going to put her thru a brumation period this coming winter so i just wanted her to have a healthy weight.

she is not shy about eating too. I normally put her in 10 gal tank with paper towel and tease a pinkie in front of her and she'll take it immediately.

She is beautiful. Someone is getting me a beautiful male and a CB female soon. He is just waiting for his collector to drop off some this month, he already have a CB female ready for me.

I have another male that is feeding on pinkie as well, but he is not all that pretty. he is very dark, even his red are dark. the color on my female is very bright.

i want to breed these guys next year.

my friend just pointed out a local petshop that will order me a bag of lab blocks.

They'll eat table scraps in a pinch too We bred rats/mice forever on mainly table scraps.

that's true, but at the same time, if you don't feed them on a stable diet, they are going to have dearrhea and will also stink up pretty fast.

I don't remember ever having a problem, but I'm sure it's true, lol.
