When Your G. rosea runs out of hand

I handled a G. rosea tonight, and every time I didn't supply a hand to walk on it stood WAY up on it's tiptoes and cleaned it's fangs. I didn't freak out b/c it wasn't a threat posture, but has anyone ever had your rose do this? Just wondering......

Hmm..Had it eaten recently? T's will do this at times after eating.

Sometimes when I put my T's back after handling, they will clean themselves, I thought it had to be from just being handled.

Sounds to be normal T behavior, I wouldn't worry about it.

My G rosea has an odd habbit of 'stroking' my hand.. she extends her fangs and lets them slide along my skin then retracts them.. feels rather good but she never bites.. Oh well good ol freaky scarlett

Now that is freaky!!!! Like she is using you to sharpen her fangs or something?


In regards to the original poster....no I have never experienced it...but can you see if your T has anything formed around the fangs or mouth? Does it clean its fangs/mouth a lot?

Her mouth looks normal to me..... Looks like my other 3 T's...... It was just kinda weird seeing this HUGE Rose cleaning her pig stickers on my hand....

Now the scraping thing IS freaky... I dont know if I'd like that!!

Freaky ya all think its freaky You shoulda seen me first time I did it! thank god I didnt get a lil.. nervous she woulda goen flying.. but now I rather enjoy it shes yet to bite me but does it everynow and then..I dont know f I should take her lil 'luv scrapes' as meaning good mood bad mood or you look tasty yet....

Ahhh, yet another quirk of a g. rosea. This species has the WIDEST range of behaviors and most varying degrees of defensiveness of anything I have ever seen!=D
