When to separate P.Regius slings kept communally

My first time raising spiders. I've been keeping 2 sets of about 10-15 slings in 32 oz containers once they left the nest. Another 13 are kept separately in 2 oz deli cups because they came out of the nest later than the first 2 sets. When should I put the slings in the 32 oz cups in individual cups? I think the oldest is maybe L3. The egg case was laid 4/11 and slings started leaving the nest 5/10.

This is my first time as well, and I am not an expert but I also got a surprise egg sac from my P. regius. What I have been doing is separating them when they have come out of the webbing and keeping them in separated 2 oz deli cups. So far it has been great, they have all molted and should be eating soon.
What I have heard is you want to start to separate them once they leave the egg sac to reduce cannibalism. Yesterday I separated the last two out of four I had because they were on the cusp of coming out of the nest, but for me, it was ok to leave them in there for some time; I haven't had any issues. I have cut out little pieces of paper towel to put in the cups so they have something to hide in/molt in before they can make their own hammocks. Been changing those out every day, adding humidity with a fine mister.

No sure about instars. Based on the size of the sling to the size of the melanogaster, I think the largest is 3i. Does that seem reasonable? 2 pics attached. 3i#1.jpg 3i#2.jpg 3i#2.jpg

If not I2, Phiddipus tend to leave the eggsac at L2 and swarm out. Crawl around in the Nest, Molt to I1 and end of I1 they leave the nest, a few days before going into I2 when they need the first meal before molting.

To me, Larva 1 (eggs with leggs)
Larva 2 (Black but hardly mobile)
Instar 1 (Start webbing in their own, still very small but active walking, jumping already)
Instar 2 (still mostly Black)
I3 (Black/white starts to show off, depending on the origin)
Instar 4 latest to seperate.

Just to make sure there are no misunderstanding.

Regards

Thanks so much for sharing this info. There's some white on a few of them. All of the slings I took left the egg sac on their own and most have molted at least once since then. ~30 melanogasters are fed daily. I refill when I see few live flies in the cup. Perhaps they should be separated over this weekend or definitely next. Both of my females are sitting on eggs, so I know what I'll be doing this summer!

Sooner is better than later- they don’t rely on each other for growth etc

Can you tell me the physical difference between i3, i4 and i5? It's so confusing. I have some that I'm pretty sure are i5, but they still seem so small. I have a new batch that just emerged from second egg sack and the older ones are about 4 times larger than the new ones.
