I (think I) love my collection, I (think I) am satisfied with all my little Ts, I (think I) have every one in my collection that I have ever wanted...... then I spot great deal.

WHEN DO YOU STOP ADDING Ts TO YOUR COLLECTION? DOES IT EVER STOP? AM I HOPELESS?

But, but , but, one would THINK that I have been doing this long enough that I could just be satisfied with what I've got... like my marriage, my kids, my house, my car, I'm THRILLED with all of those just the way they are..... WHY DO I ALWAYS WANT MORE Ts!?!

just accept it :)

i put aside a "T" fund from pay checks.... it grows fairly quick too!! and my parents usually pick me up some of the more expensive Ts for my B-Day.... try that!

otherwise, just go with it terri. there's no turning back ;)

You are well and thoroughly addicted.:D But think of it this way, isnt there a lot worse you could be addicted to than T's????

no, it never stops, but IME after spending 6 hours on a weekend taking care of all my animals (feeder rodents, reptiles and inverts) it gets easier to NOT add to my collection.

Do you ever really want it to stop?
If they are easy to care for, take up very little space each, and make you feel pretty damn happy at the end of the day, why curb a perfectly healthy(?) addiction? I mean.. I could stop at any time... no really... I could.

I just don't wanna yet =D

I don't think it ever does stop!

I constantly see ads for stuff I'd forgotten I wanted, and suddenly I *have* to have it. It's a real addiction.

I think it never stops :D At least I can not stop buying new T's... Today I got my new B. smithi and A. versicolor... I am so happy and excited =D And I think that in the evening I will start looking for some new T's to add to my collection... :}

Anyway, I went from arachnophobia to arachnoholism... :D =D

I don't think it stops until you've acquired at least one of every species that you ever thought, "I want that" about, or you literally exceed the amount of space/time available to you. If one of those two conditions isn't met, you will keep on finding ways to add to the variety of your collection.

Ts are a great example of how the internet can be a dangerous thing. In the absence of boards like this one where you are constantly exposed to pictures of so many types and owner testimonials, its highly unlikely the average would-be T person could ever wind up coveting so many different types, and it's a given that without the online dealers, with rare exceptions, that the average would-be T person would never be able to so easily acquire so many different types. I guess if you want it to stop, sell your computer and don't look back.

My addiction is also fueled by seeng them live and in person at shows and pet sops. And.... every time YOU PEOPLE post a pic of a gorgeous new species that I don't have!!!! ;)

I've just added 7 to my collection.... tell ya bout em later!! But, I just HAD to try breeding, and my male a. avic just became daddy to 137 little uns!! (Thanks Kelli, big ole 8 legged hugs!)=D I SHOULD have two gravid roseas, AND have my local eutylenums courting at this very moment. I just keeps going....... on...........and on.............and on................

There's the theory that I keep trying to convince my wife of that if you simply get enough Ts it will reach a critical mass and become a self sustaining reaction where you are constantly generating enough slings to trade for all the other Ts you might want.

Ya know... I'm ALMOST getting there! I've done SO much trading and have gotten so many good deals that when I add up the market value of my collection, I just gasp!!! I KNOW I haven't spent that much! Your wife sounds pretty easy to convince though, you have some pretty nice Ts!!! My hubby supports ANYTHING I want to do, as long as we can pay the mortgage, eat and have a little fun! So, I'm lucky too!!!
