This is for all insects as for me

'My female giant flower beetle. Very clumsy very aggressive and very dumb

She always gets her wing stuck below her butt after flying and on top of that she takes off for no reason and throws herself at fruit. Yep that's my baby

My clumsiest are my blue death feigning beetles. Though it's hard to tell if its clumsiness, gluttony, or greed.

My scolopendra heros arizonensis is pretty cool, they are very used to me being around them, so I can pick it up and it doesn't seem to mind me doing so.

I've been keeping a house centipede for a couple weeks now and have noticed a few personality traits I wouldn't have expected from house centipedes.

I name my house centipede Gary and one of the first things I noticed was how calm he was. Every house centipede I've encountered in the wild has made a mad dash attempt to run away once spotted. With Gary, I've have had to open his terrarium numerous times for various reasons and he mostly just sits still as I do whatever it is I'm doing, which is usually cleaning the glass or pruning the landscape.

Gary is also less aggressive than I would have guessed. From what I've read, they eat fairly often so in the beginning, I was feeding him a spider every day. Each time I had fed, he pounced on the spider right away. One day though, he completely ignored the spider and refused to even acknowledge it as it poked around. I eventually ended up removing the spider but learned that Gary wasn't very territorial or else he could have easily killed the spider.

So I keep watching Gary and if you're interested in pics and videos, just follow the link in my signature.

Lettuce (also featured in my profile pic) always tries to crawl onto my arm whenever I open her enclosure. She also has eaten from my hand, twice. She is super fast and is always reluctant to leave my hand once she is on it. She is quite stubborn!

My mantids will usually do that too. If I don't want to deal with trying to coax them back in, I'll take the whole lid off and place it on an empty kritter keeper. They spend 99% of their lives hanging upside down on the lids anyway so it's an easy transfer.
