okay so I am on the internet just looking at some messed up videos and such but then I see this spider thing Kill about thirty red ants all together in one bottle. what is this it looks awsome.

It looks like a Rhagodes sp.

It is a Solfugid, and I've seen pics of a black species from Tanzania posted on Deviantart.com, which looked a lot like this one. Those are NOT Fire Ants, though, but look like regular black ants, what we call "Oak ants" here in the South. They are much bigger, but also far less aggressive, than Fire Ants. If I thought that this Solfugid could wipe out Fire Ants like that, I'd be importing these babies by the thousands!

The ants actually look like a Pogonomyrmex species...but I guess that's not really the issue.

I think we've determined it's not a spider but a solifugid.
