But I'm guessing you won't have because you don't know them well....

Yes to assassin bugs. Bog turtles? Never heard of them. I'm trying to stick small at first but maybe when things get moving.

Try to see if you can get some crested geckos. They are the next thing I'm obsessed over other than inverts. I've been trying to get my hands on a "moonglow" morph but no luck so far.
and good luck with your site.

If you're looking for easy things you can purchase and then breed, in terms of reptiles - Kenyan sand boas, leopard geckos, ball pythons and crested geckos are all very popular and easy to breed reptiles. All of which have different color morphs and endless breeding possibility. Some of the fancier corn snake morphs are also popular, although you will not make as much selling corn snakes. For more of a challenge, but what I would LOVE to see more widely available - Rhacodactylus leachianus (cousin of the crested gecko and much larger), tokay gecko color morphs, and captive-bred Asian vine snakes.

In terms of invertebrates - aquatic insects would be interesting, as well as larger beetle species, some of the centipede species less common in the hobby, etc. Harvesters are interesting as well. Various species of true spider are also easy to breed - most wolf spiders, as well as widow spiders might be good starters. Demand for non-tarantula invertebrates is always lower than demand for reptiles, but in any case you will probably not make a profit for awhile with your project. It certainly will be a fun adventure nevertheless!
