I have several emp tanks that seem to be having a problem with mites. I recently changed the substrate and I would like to get some isopods to help with the clean up in the tanks and prevent future outbreaks. Ive seen a couple different species of isopods for sale and dont know whick kind to get. Among the ones ive seen for sale are, A. vulgare and P. scaber, any sugestions?

I use springtails and Trichorina tomentosa in my emp enclosure and I have no problems with mites, mold, odor, etc.

Yip, isopods are the mite bomb. I even wonder if they might eat those grain mites(?) What do you think ZephAmp? Also, I've never checked, I can now with my scope, but I would bet that finding grain mites on these isopods isn't as common as it might seem. If grain mites stay away from isopods in general, I wonder why they would:? I just realized that if the hypopus stage for grain mites is mostly designed to carry them to more food leftover by predators, then isopods would be a bad choice to cling on to, because they are scavengers also, and faster eaters, fast enough that there wouldn't be any left over for the mites. But the mites wouldn't know that lol, maybe an instinctive thing for the mites. But, I know I'm assuming waaaaay too much there, first things first.
