My husband and I are thinking about getting another Tarantula and the choice is either a P.Regalis (Indian Oramental) or a B.Smithi (Mexican Red Knee) . They are both spiderlings and the same price as well. So its hard to choose which one. The B.Smithi is on top of my husband wish list but now he wants a P.regalis lol.

The Poecilotheria grows kinda fast, and the Brachypelma smithi (very) slowly... So keep that in mind.

I don't have any experience with any one of them, so I can't be of any more help to you...

hey

I'd say if you want something that grows slow then get the b.smithi and well the P. regalis i had ( may it rest in peace) grew at a medium to fast speed. well any ways since they're both pretty. that;s a hard choice and um also B. smithis are kinda docile but P. regalis's are very defencive but mostly run and hide if you give them hiding spots. any ways have a nice day

They both are fine looking animals, but I'd suggest you go fo the long term and get the B.smithi. They are a bit harder to find and will be with you for a long time, even if it happens to be a male

I guess it depends on if you plan on handling it or not. The B. smithi will most likely kick hairs and the P. regalis, well it's a pokie.

If you are looking for a display T, I'd go with the regalis.

I'd go with the regalis, because I don't like Brachypelmas much :)
