Something has gone horribly wrong with my budwing mantis in its attempt to molt. One of the back legs is deformed, and I think the torso may be also. I took him out of his cage and placed him on a moist paper towel. I also cut the exuvia so that he was no longer stuck to the piece of screen he was using to perch. Both of the big arms seem stuck in the exuvium. He's chewing at it, but I'm not sure he will live if he can manage to get them out. How long do I wait before I freeze him? Should I hold off and see? I need help here guys.
