Ok, has anyone ever heard of a mouse being amune to rattlesnake venom? "Mighty Mouse" as I now call him was bit not once, not twice, but FOUR times a few mins. apart and never showed signs of invenomation. Its sitting right next to me now eating oatmeal! I want to return it to the pet store as a defective mouse or donate it to science for reasearch. Has this ever happened to anyone else? :?

The snake may have just been annoyed and given the mouse a dry bite

exactly...it was definitely dry bites. He wasnt interested in eating him and bit him as defense. Definitely do NOT leave this mouse in the cage with the snake.

Thats odd- I didnt leave the mouse in the cage- Im NOT an idiot! I use to work for a Herp doctor and Ive seen what mice can do to snakes! However, thr snake was acting hungry- after each bite, it stayed put for a few, than followed the scent trail only to find the mouse unfazed. than bit agian held on for a sec, than relaxes, followed the scent trail and so on- I finally removed the mouse. the snake kept tracking and going to the mouse, not the other way around. Plus as far as rattlesnakes go, and Ive delt with a few- this one is really mellow and timid its not easy to get him to excited-
