Wow! That's big baby for an animal that size. Although I've never bred guinea pigs.

It does seem a little big. But i think the pic makes it look that way. Its probably 1/10th her size.

Thanks man. It looks like one of its ears is brindle like the mother, and the other ear is different colored.
That, my friend, is one beautiful baby! Gorgeous markings!

Nice! I love pigs!! So cute! I love their oinks too! I don't think I could own one right now nor am I sure I want to deal with all the cleaning up by myself (as nobody else will help). But these are my favorite pets at work.

Yeah they are really cool. Too bad 99.9% of them are freaked out bigtime.

Yep only 1 this time. Last year she had 2. Actually glad there was only 1 lol.
Awww, nothing cuter than a baby pig! Did she only have one?

We got our little boy pig nipped... No more babies here! (At least I hope he wasn't too precocious in that regard...)

I had no idea they even fixed piggies. Might have to look into that. Thanks!

It's cheaper to neuter the boar than the sow. Be sure it's a veterinarian familiar with rodent/rabbit/G.pig anesthesia.

Most of ours are babies only a few weeks old. They're totally freaked out but I find that most calm right down when I place them up against my chest, talk to them lightly and slowly pet their heads. Some of them even fall asleep while I pet them in the middle of the crazy busy store!

We get some toughies too. They'll purr (I know this is not a positive sound in the context they're using it in), knock their head around, chew aggressively and even had one bite me! It was the lightest little nibble but it was enough for me to put her back knowing she was unhappy. I love these things though. I bet they make awesome movie buddies!

I wonder if they're like hamsters and will clam down with more handling and trust building? My hamster used to spazz when I went to hold him. Now I can hold him.

I love their popcorning too!

They sure will Amber. More so than hamsters. They're a ton more social than most hamsters so any type of positive socialization at a young age should cause some awesome positive results in the future.

And with hamsters I've been finding out the way you handle it can change its behavior a lot too. My robo will do everything possible to get away if I just pick it up and try to restrain him. But if I scoop him up and let him roam freely on my hands (of course after he tries to jump off a couple times) he calms down and just chills out.

My albino rancy russian will charge out screaming, no joke, and attack if you reach in the cage with you hand. But if you can coax him out with a treat he's all pudding. I had him almost sleeping in my hands. They're so funny!

WoW! I have never seen a white one. You could probably get some money for it. I have 4 from accidental breedings. 2 males and 2 females. They are cute but are pretty messy in their cages. How does that bedding work for you?

Yeah ive never seen a albino either. Not sure what it would be worth, but the ole lady would never let me get rid of it :). That bedding is the Care Fresh stuff. It works great! I use it for them, and my snakes. I used to use it for my chinchilla and ferrets also. It absorbs very well. Only problem is the piggies make a mess quickly so you have to make sure to change it once a week or so. I would love to stick them in my 75 gallon aquarium with a deep layer of it so they could burrow!
