yeah, kinda like a sawing motion  seems like they can move all four parts independently, very cool.and move each side of its jaw separately back and fourth while eating.

This guy had an enormous legspan and it was thick for a sunspider.
The tool used above is constructed from 2 tea strainers that were affixed to large tongs. They were constructed so that we could pull katydids out of acacia bushes without tearing our hands. Not to go way off topic but...
Is the utensil used in these pics intended for this use?
My ma just got one of those contraptions as a gift and was told
it's to remove eggs from boiling water!
She was like 'wowwwwwwwwww.. what a souvenier!"
(Yeah it was a souvenier.... the wackest I've ever seen...)
Now I see it in this pic! So I thought I'd ask...
The one she got can be pressed so the screened section opens, but if you release
your hold, it closes.....
We were thinking along the lines of proper use being to
fill it with herbs and make tea... maybe we were both wrong though!
If it's the same tool, your use makes alot more sense!
It's funny, because people say this about tarantulas ALL the time. They're such a diverse group and they're very misunderstood - like tarantulas. Stop being such a hypocrite and do some research.I think they are ugly things....who the heck would want one....
