i've pretty much decided on ordering a curly partly b/c of the fact that they are pretty active for a t. but is there one that is more active? my striped knee just likes chilling under its plant all thye time (except for tonight, its all over the place). i think if it knew how cute it was it would walk around more and show itself off for people =D

Is that safe for the T? Can it even move one of those things around?

Yeah, that's actually my GBB sling and it's only about 2". Would be funny to see in real life, though.

Fun with photoshop.

I know this lady that caught a A.hentzi male at the conference and it truly does roam around her house in a tarantula ball. I guess it lets him do what he would be doing naturally, kinda. He'd be out scouring the area for females and it keeps him occupied on his now fruitless search, and the family entertained. He apparently has even learned to steer his ball somewhat, and no longer gets trapped in corners...

She uses a dwarf hamster ball....its smaller and lighter than the normal hamster or rodent ball.

I personally think if someone were to actually use a tarantula ball, it would be a bad idea and a sure way to injure one.

And as for the most active T ;) I would go for Brachypelma boehmei :) I have got two of them and they are always out. And they are really beautiful. Great display spiders :D

The most active tarantula I have ever had is my H maculata. It was always walking around and climbing on everything. It was a great webber too.
