I still think it's Psuedacris sierra. The eye stripe is a useful feature in distinguishing it from other similar species. Check out the picture of the adult specimen from Nevada County. Extremely similar to yours.
Obviously with amphibians a nearby water feature is a good thing, "this species utilizes a wide variety of habitats, often far from water outside of the breeding season, including forest, woodland, chaparral, grassland, pastures, desert streams and oases, and urban areas."
