What sized container should I keep a Cyriocosmus elegans (dwarf trinidad) in?

Hey all, this will be my first post here at arachnoboards. I am looking to order a Cyriocosmus elegans soon but I have no clue what kind of container to keep a tarantula this small in. It will supposedly be 1/2"-3/4" when it arrives and probably only get to 1 1/2" max. Does anybody with any experience keeping this species have any suggestions?

~1.5", usually smaller. I'm sure Ryan (Talkenlate04) has pictures in his pix thread, I just couldn't tell you what page.

C. elegans sling

I have a tiny Cyriocosmus elegans sling right now that I keep in a pill bottle with 1/4-1/2 filled with substrate. When the T. gets bigger, I've been advised that I should move it into a deli container. I hear they're not fond of kritter keepers, but they could probably work as an adult as long as they're the really small containers, but for now, definitely go with a pill bottle.

P.S. as far as feeding, they will only eat crickets that are the same size or smaller than they are, and if yours is anything like mine, will not eat them if they're dead, but it may help to injure them a bit (not very fun to do :( ) because my sling gets very nervous around its own food and even tries to run away from the cricket at first! Finding crickets this tiny is always hard work for the person at the pet shop to pick out the smallest possible. Lots of fun though.

In the tarantula pictures forum. ;)

Go there, run a search for 'elegans' and it'll pull all the threads with pics in them. Then you can run the search again inside the thread and it'll find the posts. Works like a charm. :)

I've already looked at all of those lol. I'm quite fond of the search feature. Thanks for trying.

Sathane how many of them do you have? I think I count 4. I love the heart shape mark on their abdomen.

Ah, I think I misinterpreted your request for pictures then. Sorry about that! :)

Sathane, nice pics. I have a few of those cubes, myself.

Yeah I was trying to get these guys to post some new ones. I also have some of those cubes myself, easy to put holes into.

I have 4. Hoping for one to hook out and the rest to be female so I can spend a weekend trying to separate a bunch of teeny slings. haha

Thanks. Yah, I use these alot (as you can see). The only problem is that nearly all of my escapees are from cubes where the lid isn't quite so snug. I now 'test' them before purchase and tape down those that are suspiciously loose.
