Idk what species live in your area but this looks like Pardosa to me, very small species

Caught in South Hungary. I already have a male Pardosa, it's my first spider, and was a tiny bit disappointed that they are a very small species. Oh well! Could it be female? My male Pardosa has very prominent peds and this one looks a bit bigger than my male

This one does appear to be female, it’s not easy identifying them to a species so if you put them together they may not be the same.

Left one's my male, I have him since August and molted once already. He's a shy boy.
I let her in in his enclosure to see what they'd do, hoping they'd not turn it into a battle royale, ready to separate them. They checked each other out very curiously multiple times, no signs of aggression :embarrassed:

Will do! Really excited for them. They've taken an interest in each other I think.

I was keeping the male in a smaller enclosure so I rehoused him to be in this much bigger enclosure together and have more space.

At first they both explored it around the edges and whenever they were in a short range of each other, they seemed to know that they're in the presence of another spider. My male acted very differently than ever before, he went towards the female slow and very different from when he's checking out prey. He was shy and ran away a few times but they touched legs each time, but not in an aggressive way. The female also approached him a few times in a similar way.

I'll try to record some videos too, it's a bit hard to get in range with a macro lens because of the larger enclosure size.

Oh that’s so awesome to hear!! I can’t wait to see some vids or pics of them doing little touchies! I feel the macro problem, sometimes I put on my best telescopic lens with a tripod and try to zoom in for a “macro effect”, for tanks and behaviors I know I can’t get too close to… I know it’s a very basic trick but it works!
usually I stay in Florida, so I’m missing my daily hogna experience

I love Hognas (although I don't have any). I found this pic on Facebook and used it for my phone wallpaper . Will be quite useful if a severe arachnophobe tries to steal my phone :
