Trivia: In Indonesia and Malaysia the Leucauge is given the colloquial name of Swamp Sweepers. Countless thousands turning marshy low lying areas into deadly gauntlets for flying insects, especially mosquitoes.
An easy method to determine if a spider is in their genus is the setae on the femur of the fourth leg pair giving them additional sensory input in capturing prey.
Over 150 species have been described.
