boas that look like that have red tails, rather than say a tree boa, sand boa, rubber boa. Now what you dont know is, is it a Surinam boa, Colombian boa etc.

BCCs are true Red Tailed Boas. BCAs, BCSs, BCLs and BCIs are not, though the facial markings can be very similar. Since in that pic all you have to go on for identification are the facial marking the best you can do is identify it as a Boa Constrictor, BC?.

Thank you John. It is a BC. What kind we don't know. I have been raising and breeding Black tails (Longicauda) for years now and I hate that everyone always thinks every boa is a red tail boa when in fact the majority of boas do not have red tails. And don't forget BCO, BCN, BCM. Now that we got that out of the way, 'Conquista' is a city in brazil which is in the range of mostly BCC, BCA. So more than likely a Brazilian 'True Red Tail' Boa, but I still do not think jumping to conclusions is a good idea.
