My friend was given a pet frog. I have np picture, but here is a description, please try to narrow it down a bit so that I can conduct better google searches.
small, 2" max, greyish brown with tons of spots. It eats beata fish food, apparently is to stay in water with no land places (but they all need some place to rest don't they?) and also my friend they are rare, or hard to get.

Any information is appreciated.

Look into Xenopus laevis (African clawed frog) and the African dwarf frog (I don't keep these, don't know the scientific name). If it's either of these two, they are totally aquatic.

If you're interested in African Dwarf frogs you can check this website to see if that's your frog and to get care instructions for them: http://www.pipidae.net/ It's where I went when I got mine, and they are to be doing great.

Hope this helps.
