Only a few of mine have names - the ones I got first and a few where a name just occurred to me:

Aura - B. auratum (uncreative, I know)
Aurelia - G. pulchripes
Jeanie and Candy - A. genics, Jeanie is bigger and older
Fuzzy - oh, you can guess
Vanilla - B. vagans (it irritates people, but natural vanilla is black)
Carla - L. klugi
Delphina - L. difficilis
Pepper - P. nigricolor
Clementine - OBT
Roseanne - you guessed it
Nike - another easy guess

That's it... I need more names.

Boris. I didn't pick the name. It was something the arachnophobic family member came out with, so I went with it as I figured it'd help make the spider seem less threatening.

I don't know what I'll call future spiders, but I'll probably end up with a Fluffy somewhere along the line. My scorpion is called Angry. My hissing cockroaches are Dusty and Trevor.

Promised my gf I’d name at least one of mine, so the first one I got is Andromeda (Pamphobeteus sp. ‘platyomma’).

I absolutely love naming stuff and my names tend to be pretty random. A lot also come from the odd conversations my partner and I have.

Some recently named Ts and some of my favourites (because to list them alllll would take awhile) include...

- Yayet and Thawhy ( A ap Peru Purple/ A juruensis M2) [From two conversations... "Yeah, YET" and "You are forgetting the Y!"]
- Either (B. albo) [I don't precisely recall what this conversation was about, but it ended with "We don't have either" and I said, "We do now!"]
- Lava (P. regalis) [This spider was molting recently and my punny partner said "molten lava"]
- Potato (P. metallica) [I just love potatos, okay?]
- Coffeebac (P. lugardi) [Lip reading isn't an exact science and sometimes it results in funny misreads. I was confused as to why my partner would ask for their coffee back... they hate coffee.]
- Juxta aka JuxtaNeverGonnaGrow [My little P. lugardi sling that only grew 2" in five years]

I learned a long time ago not to name animals that are raised for meat.

I’m totally kidding, I’ve named 2 bc I’m awful with naming pets.
AF A avic- socks
Euathlus parvulus- twitch (bc it bolts)

I feel like this thread already existed a few months ago...

But anyhow my A. chalcodes is Kate. Katherine if she's climbing on the walls.

I got bored naming my T's but the ones I named prior to becoming bored are :

B.Albo 'Nic' - Mitzy, Stiffler, Jack, Mordecai, and Ace

B.Vagans - Tolkien, Petunia

I just call my other T's whatever they look like.. For example my young G. pulchripes 'name' is "kiwi butt".. My savannah monitor had a name until his accident now he looks like a hobo so we affectionatly call him 'Hobo' or his actual name Rhino.

I got alot of animals, and I dont like reusing names (even from years ago) sooo i like to save names for animals that can understand them
