Anyone in here has an idea of what this is?
I saw this one during a hiking trip in Venezuela, Isla Margarita.

Its a lizard...for sure....looks to be about a 40 footer.... :D

Not sure really but it is a cool looking lizard. Kinda has features like a veiled chameleon but not quite. Even the toes look a chameleons.

They look more like iguana toes... chameleon toes look like this.

Not sure what it could be... it does remind me of an iguana but I don't know if there are any iguana species native to the area you were visiting.

Looks a lot like a Cuban knight anole, I know it's Venezuelan but I would still say it's in the Anolis genus.

Hi,
Not Anolis, but Polychrus. Polychrus have 5 species: P. acutirostris, P. femoralis, P. casuhatiensis, P. fasciatus, and P. marmoratus. Although they are not in the genus Anolis, they are still called "Bush Anoles" and "Monkey Anoles". I believe the specimen pictured is Polychrus marmoratus, the "Many-colored Bush Anole", but I've been known to be wrong.

Reptillian wasn't claiming it was a true cameleon, the common name "American chameleon" is often applied to anoles and their relatives.
