What is this?

Can someone please help me identify what kind of insect/spider this is? They look like eight-legged spiders but they also seem to antennas. And they jump. They jump towards you when they feel attacked. The largest one I've seen so far was slightly bigger than a quarter coin. Location: Maryland

I just thought cricket I e never heard of camel crickets before but I just googled it lol exactly how you described it jumping at you

yep camel cricket, cave cricket, spider cricket, they've got a lot of names. harmless, but do get quite large and jump quite far! i lived in a basement as a teen, got real used to 'em lol

they don't jump 'at' you, they just jump very far and you happen to be there lol
