Not really sure why it is loose in your bathroom. Do you keep a breeding Beetle colony? It was likely searching moisture, but then why your bathroom and not outside? They usually don't just "pop up" randomly. Do you have anyone cleaning deer bones or skeletons in your home? Kinda creeped out that this thing just waltzed into your bathroom from outside.
It does look like a dermestid beetle larva. Dermestid beetles (a.k.a. "carpet beetles") are very common household pests. They do not sting or bite, but some people are sensitive/allergic to the hairs of the larvae, which may provoke an itchy rash or bumps that resemble insect bites. The larvae feed on protein sources - including dead bugs, hair, skin flakes, pet hair and dander, pet kibble, feathers, fur, and animal products such as leather or wool. They can destroy a pinned insect collection if they get into it, and can also chew tiny holes in wool clothing, blankets, or upholstery.
Fortunately, dermestid beetles are pretty easy to control with frequent and thorough cleaning and vacuuming - you just need to make sure you hit all those easily-missed spots where tasty treats accumulate, like underneath furniture and appliances, around baseboards, moldings, and the edges of carpets, underneath throw rugs, between or underneath chair or sofa cushions, and around pet bedding or feeding areas.
