I know it's a slug of some sort. The pic does not do it justice, i found it in my driveway tonight. the thing was totally stretched out to almost a foot! i thought it was a snake for a sec. the first pic is the slug, the second is a closeup of the stripes. I guess this qualifiy's an an invert right?

I got hundreds of the things around my place. The biggest stretched all around thge inside of an ice cream bucket! I used to keep these guys before I got into inverts, neat to say the least. I never bothered to find out what they were(D'oh!) so I can't help you there.

Whoa.....nasty...Sorry I can't help on the ID. We have a lot of similar slugs around here. They are interesting though. Especially when you poor salt on them. Hehehe

Hi Phoenixx,

it's Limax maximus, i believe they have been introduced into the US from Europe. They are very common in the UK, i've seen some huge ones as well, over 9" when streched out.

One of my fav slugys i had a big one the other week found in a bag of leaves thanks to mans traveling half the world can now enjoy them too every one loves slugs right :?

just my GF...i cant stand them. I picked it up off the side walk, it was heading for the road. I knew she liked em, and since i had a bag from the store, well i picked it up for her. NOW THATS LOVE!!! lol
(she buy's me T's. its a nice arrangement LOL)
